I met so many Indians in Canada and it's been a pleasure to meet them. After living here for more than a month i realized that Indians who are living out of India are far more cultured and, more family oriented than those in India. As parents they are doing a great job in foreign atmosphere. Their kids never use foul language in front of their parents or in their Facebook status because they value their culture and heritage more. Their parents are working hard to restore the Indian values in them and they respect them more.
After noticing these things here I felt ashamed that in India people use foul language so easily in their facebook status, in their blogs and they don't think even twice before blurting out such words thinking them to be a sign of modernity...

If people can use such words before their parents, then probably it must have been running in the family and that might make them eligible to throw the dirt everywhere they go...
Infact I have no clue what amir khan tried to prove in "Delly Belly" by promoting such vulgar language. If that's the last remnant of reality that needed showing on Big Screen, that too from such an acclaimed actor/ director.
Excuse me people! I guess you are showing what u are. U r not at all modern and you are just spoiling your parents names. Grow up! 'F' word is not so cool. Please respect the Indian culture and make ur family proud. There are better things to say than using such foul language.

Great post Saumya Di!! Ur so right. People here are becoming more of trend cofirmists than trend setters. Getting a wrong notion of modernity.
Like one lady in our neighbourhood said (after sm1 complained that their under-age kids drive bike in the bylanes like hooligans, creating nuisance every day) that they must have it to keep up in the modern times. N kids too are losing their values trying to fit into a self defined modern culture, hindi cinema not helping either. Hope we learn frm Indians in Canada to preserve ethics n our values, esp concerning foul language.
Nice thought provoking post :)
Thanks Rochkoch... but really I am enjoying with everyone here... Learning so many things... Loving each and every single day here...:D
and there are goods and bads eveywhere.. Its all about where u get oriented to! A great post saumya.. An issue needed to be paid heed to from a long time!
I hope some senses get back after reading it. The ones who use 'f*** word in english and feel bad when some one talks in sucha fashion in hindi, should realize it holds the same meaning and spurting it out in any other language won't lessen the damages.
Nice blog dii......
